Tips & Instructions to Use

Getting Started

This DeWALT DCN45RNB rental is provided ready to use. Insert a charged 20V battery, put on eye protection and gloves, and confirm you have compatible 15° roofing nail coils.

Using the Item

  1. Open the magazine and load the coil so nails feed smoothly.
  2. Set the nail length platform if needed, then close the magazine securely.
  3. Adjust depth on scrap shingle or wood before working on the roof.
  4. Place the contact tip flat on the surface, press firmly, and pull the trigger.
  5. Keep hands clear of the nose and never point the nailer at anyone.

Pro Tips from the Owner

  • Use dry fasteners and avoid working in rain, ice, or high wind.
  • Test depth often when moving between shingles, underlayment, and caps.
  • Work slowly near edges, ladders, valleys, and vents.

After Use

Remove remaining nails, take out the battery, wipe off dust and grit, and pack the nailer and accessories safely for return.

Pickup and dropoff were very straightforward. It was actually a different carpet cleaner from the one in the picture (I think Bissell?) but worked very well and I think may actually have been a better product. Highly recommended!
