No need to choose between bear and critter protection. The Ursack Bags protects your food from all creatures great and small. Not only will they keep out bears teeth and claws it will thwart mice, raccoon, squirrels, pine martens and other sharp toothed critters. Ursack bags are made with a patent pending laminated process that combines the UHMWP or Kevlar fabrics. Water and torn resistant. An odor barrier bag (OPSak) and an aluminum liner serve to make the bags evem more comfortable and durable. Without the optional aluminum liner, your food may be crushed, ripped or punctured. Features & details CRITTER PROTECTION: The Major is critter resistant; the updated version features a tighter weave and more than double the tear strength of previous models LIGHTWEIGHT & SPACIOUS: The Major weighs 7.6 oz with the capacity about 10.65 Liters (approx. 5 days of food for 1 person) MATERIAL: Made of "bullet proof" UHMWP fabric and is designed to prevent bears from getting your food in their territory STRENGTH & DURABILITY: 6 foot, 2,500 pound high tensile strength cord with a secure knot

How to Use Ursack's Bags
Tie cord in a knot
Tie the cord with a double overhand knot–tight–so that there is no opening at the top of the bag. If food is visible, you have packed too much in. If you can see it, a bear can get it
How to Use Ursack's Bags
Move away from camp
URSACK must be secured to a fixed object that is a safe distance from your camp site. Do not keep URSACK in or near your sleeping bag or tent. If using more than one Ursack, separate them at least 25 yards. Where there are no trees available, try hiding your Ursack under a pile of rocks. If you are using an OPSak and have been meticulous about keeping food smells off the outside, it is unlikely that a bear can find a well hidden Ursack.
How to Use Ursack's Bags
Tie up to a strong branch
So that it can’t be crushed or stolen. Tie URSACK to a tree branch using a figure 8 or another knot that resists clinching, so that it can be untied easily. Alternatively, tie a secure knot and then counterbalance over a high (10′ +) tree branch–not a guarantee, but it will thwart some bears.
