🕵️ How to Use Your Metal Detector

(For finding lost rings, phones, keys, coins, and more!)

This detector is already ready to go. Just follow these simple steps!

✅ What You’ll Need:

• The metal detector (already assembled)
• Fresh batteries (it should arrive with batteries installed)
• An open space like a yard, park, or beach
• Optional: Small shovel or trowel to help dig

🔛 Step 1: Turn It On

1. Press the power button (it’s on the control box at the top).
2. The screen will light up and show numbers or icons.
3. You’re ready to start searching!

🔍 Step 2: Pick a Search Mode

There are 3 easy modes. Here’s what each one does:

• ALL METAL MODE –
• Finds everything made of metal.
• ✅ Best when you don’t know what you’re looking for.
• DISC MODE (Discrimination Mode) –
• Ignores junk like bottle caps and nails.
• ✅ Good if you’re looking for rings or phones.
• PINPOINT MODE –
• Helps you find the exact spot of the metal once you get a signal.
• ✅ Use this after the detector beeps.

Tip: Most people start with All Metal Mode, then switch to Pinpoint Mode when they hear a beep.

🧭 Step 3: Start Searching

1. Hold the detector low, so the round part (search coil) is about 1 inch above the ground.
2. Walk slowly and swing the coil side to side in a wide, slow motion – like a big letter “U”.
3. Keep the coil flat and close to the ground the whole time.
4. Listen for beeps and watch the screen.

🔊 Step 4: Understand the Beeps

• High-pitched beep: Something good, like a ring or phone.
• Low beep: Probably something junky, like an old nail or foil.
• The screen shows a number (called a “Target ID”) — higher numbers usually mean better items

🎯 Step 5: Pinpoint and Dig

1. When it beeps, stop swinging.
2. Press the “PP” (Pinpoint) button and slowly move the coil in small circles.
3. The beeping will get louder the closer you are to the metal.
4. Once you’ve zeroed in, mark the spot and carefully dig a small hole.
5. Scan the dirt with the coil or wave it over the item once it’s out.
